Get ready to explore the art of relief printing in a hands-on workshop led by professional artist Kelvin Lopez. Join us in the heart of North Park at Good Measure, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of this timeless printmaking technique where you will go home with your very own professional-quality print, ready to frame.

Kelvin will guide you step-by-step through the creative process, from designing your image to carving your block and printing your final piece. You’ll gain insight into composition, texture, and inking techniques plus tips and tricks that bring out the unique beauty of relief printing.

All materials will be provided, including carving tools, printing ink, and high-quality paper. Whether you’re new to printmaking or looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers the perfect opportunity to learn, experiment, and create alongside others in a community setting.

  • Small session size (8–10 participants) to support a calm and personalized learning environment.

  • Quiet space with gentle background music and a quiet area for sensory breaks. You’re welcome to bring your own sensory aids or noise defenders.

  • Mobility-friendly setup with step-free access, ample clearance for mobility devices, and an ADA-accessible restroom.

  • Accessible tools and methods. Kelvin and the team are committed to offering flexible approaches, alternate methods, or direct assistance as needed and desired.

  • Support person option: You’re welcome to bring an attendant, direct support professional, family member, or another member of your care team to assist with your project (please contact us in advance).
